Flavored Water.

One of my biggest pet peeves in the bottled water world is the “flavored water” section.  You pay a fortune for these fancy flavored waters that usually have some sort of weird sweetener in them, just makes no sense.

An easy substitute – get a nice big pitcher, fill it with tap water, and slice up some citrus fruit in it.  I do a mix of lemons, limes and oranges.  As you drop each piece of fruit into the pitcher, give it a little squeeze and get some of the juice into the water.  Refrigerate.  Then, when you pour some water to drink, make sure to snag out a piece or two of fruit for each glass.  It looks pretty, is flavorful, and is much healthier than the bought flavored water!  If you’re the kind of person who really likes sweet beverages, you could add some sugar to the mix also, but this is tasty enough for me.
